With the passing of California’s Occupational Safety and Health Standards new Musculoskeletal Injury Prevention Plan (MIPP) requirement for hotel and motel housekeeping departments, many managers have been left with questions as to the specific responsibilities and requirements for properties in the state.
The standard mandates a property write and implement a standalone MIPP for the housekeeping department that is designed specifically for the unique tasks required of employees within the department.
